Dr. Cole obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2001. He then completed a general practice residency in 2002 at the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Portsmouth, VA. He began his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency training in 2004 at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his OMS training in 2008. He has since served as Naval Staff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in various capacities, and since 2010 has served as a faculty member overseeing the education of both GPR and OMS residents. Dr. Cole has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons since 2004, and maintains current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. He will maintain hospital privileges and participate in trauma call at all Colorado Springs area hospitals upon beginning his practice here.
Dr. Cole maintains certification in Basic Life Support, as well as advanced training in Cardiac Life Support. He maintains his advanced surgical skills and knowledge through specialty training courses throughout the nation.
Dr. Cole holds hospital appointments at all four Colorado Springs hospitals: St. Francis, Penrose, Memorial Central and Memorial North and regularly covers head and neck trauma call for the City of Colorado Springs. He is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Colorado and American Dental Associations. Dr. Cole is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.Hank and his wife, Susan are both natives of southern Colorado. They have three children, all of high school age, and enjoy spending time outdoors, riding ATVs, and camping. They are excited to return to Colorado Springs, where they will be close to family, and be able to enjoy all the beauties of Colorado!
AMOS is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and Friday from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible, and do our best to see you the same day if you have pain or an emergency situation.
Our surgeons provide many types of surgical services, and appointment times can vary in duration based on your individual needs. In the event an emergency case arises and causes a delay, we will do our absolute best to stay on schedule and get you on your way.
